Department of Financial Services


The mission of the Department of Financial Services is to ensure broad access to accurate and timely financial information, to fulfill the financial requirements of a diverse school system community using a fully integrated suite of business applications, and to continually improve the quality of services to schools, employees and retirees. We administer comprehensive employee compensation and benefits, loss prevention, and risk management programs that support success for every student through the role of employee compensation and benefits in attracting and retaining highly qualified staff.

The mission of the Employee & Retiree Service Center is to provide one place for employees, retirees, their families, and MCPS partners to transact employment-related business.
