Green Schools Focus News
Elementary and middle school students develop posters to convey a peer-to-peer energy conservation message. Winning entries may be reproduced and distributed to schools to promote energy conservation. Contact the SERT office for more information - 240-314-1090.
High School students are charged with developing a well rounded energy and recycling campaign. The top three campaigns will be used as successful models of conservation system wide.

SERT and Green Schools Unite!
Please note that effective 9/1/08, we have combined the Green Schools and SERT awards into one system. Instead of maintaining two separate award structures and data structures, we have streamlined our processes to increase our efficiency and increase our awards. Green Schools and SERT have merged to form one united SERT program.
SERT Awards will be given out quarterly to energy performance schools. Top performers will be granted these awards as follows:
Elementary Schools $500.00
Middle Schools $1,000.00
High Schools $2,000.00
All schools will be SERT schools and high schools are eligible to participate in the SERT Program with customized program initiatives to increase energy savings and recycling rates to promote the health of our planet.
