MS Magnet Application Programs
The MS Magnet Application Programs provide rigorous and engaging programs in Humanities and Communication and in Mathematics, Science, Computer Science. Students from across the county may apply to programs, by geographic cluster.

MS Magnet Consortium (MSMC) for Current Grade 5 Students
MCPS offers innovative and challenging curricula at three magnet middle schools. Students are selected through a Choice process. Parents can learn more about the programs in information meetings and open houses.
Each session will provide an overview of the programs and Choice process for the three middle schools in the consortium—Argyle Magnet School for Digital Design and Development, A. Mario Loiederman Magnet School for Creative and Performing Arts and Parkland Magnet School for Aerospace Technology.

For Montgomery County parents of Grade 5 students, including non-MCPS/private school parents, interested in learning more about each of the MSMC schools and the Choice process. Information about the Choice process for students who live in-consortium or out-of-consortium will be provided. |
For Montgomery County parents of Grade 5 students, including non-MCPS/private school parents, interested in learning more about a specific MSMC school. Parents and Grade 5 students are encouraged to attend each open house to learn about each school’s unique magnet program. |
For parents of students currently attending private/home schools: Please call the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services at 301-592-2040 to receive detailed information about documents necessary for enrollment into MCPS and to register for this enrollment night. This night is designed to enroll new students into MCPS who are interested in participating in the Choice process. This is NOT an information meeting. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend the evening information meeting and all Open Houses to receive information about the different middle schools in the MSMC. |
