How to Recover or Configure Your Palm

Welcome to the How to Recover or Configure Your Palm webpage!

You should use the information provided on this page to help you recover your Palm after a loss of battery. The directions on this page should be used when you HAVE NOT previously synchronized your Palm with your computer or you are configuring your Palm for the first time.

This page should not be used if you HAVE previously synchronized your Palm to your computer. Go to the Recover Your Palm page for further information.

This page will provide information on when to use the instructions below, what materials are needed, and a step-by-step instructional tutorial.

It is suggested that you watch the instructional tutorial first before completing the hands-on instructions.

When should you use these instructions?
  • If you lost complete battery life, HAVE NOT previously synchronized your Palm to your computer.
  • If your Palm lost all of the 3D Reading Data and HAVE NOT previously synchronized your Palm to your computer.
Materials Needed Before Viewing the Tutorial

Please have the following materials available before viewing the tutorial:

  • Palm Pilot
  • Palm Pilot power cable
  • Desktop/Laptop Computer
  • USB Cable to connect Palm to computer
  • mClass Username and Password (Lost Password?, click here)
