Recent projects include:
I am an instructional specialist in the Office
of Staff Development working on technology related
projects. Prior to that I worked for 10 years in technology
departments for Montgomery County Public Schools, the
last five in which I headed up the web team. Before
I came to MCPS, I worked for 13 years in PRince George's
County Public Schools - 10 years teaching English at
the middle school level and 3 years teaching in a computer
lab at the Thomas Pullen K-8 School for Creative and
Performing Arts.
I have been project leader and,in many cases programmer,
on numerous interactive technology projects over the
years including the Maryland Laserdisc, CD-ROM Multimedia
Scrapbook, Vacancy
Database, Homework
Board, Website
Database, MCPS
Professional Library Online and
Digital Vertical File.Some of these projects have
since been rewritten in other programming environments.
My areas of interest and strength include multimedia
development, online database applications, technology
training, and website design/management.
I have a BA from the University of Maryland (Philosophy/English
majors w/ Education minor) and a Masters degree from
The George Washington University in the
Educational Technology Leadership Program. |
