Workshops
Mentor/New teacher workshops will be offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the school year from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at various locations up county. We encourage mentors to join their mentees during the workshops in order to discuss, analyze, and implement strategies learned. Topics include: Fostering Good Parent Relationships, Differentiation, Diversity, Time Management, Stress Management, Technology, Data Collection, Strategies for Special Education and English Language Learner students, and Classroom Management, etc.

Registration is through the Professional
Development Online (PDO) system on the MCPS website,
but you must have a username and password. If
you do not, please contact the Help Desk at 301-517-5800. Once
in the system, type mentor/new teacher in the course
title box. If you still have difficulty registering,
please contact the user support specialist at your
school or email Susan_Mitchell@mcpsmd.org.
