Activity: Self-Reflection: What's It to You?

Post Module Activity:

1. On your own, take some time to reflect on what you have learned from Module 5 on the meaning, purpose, and impact structures in the learning environment have on teaching and learning and student achievement.

2. Using Inspiration software (or another program used to create graphic organizers) to design a graphic organizer which represents those key messages that resonated with you from Module 5. (See the attached graphic organizer sample. Note that this is just a sample and that the pictures used to design this particular graphic organizer were imported from the module’s PowerPoint presentations.)

FACE TO FACE:
a. Pair with a partner to exchange graphic organizers and discuss what learning you had in
common.
b. Discuss any AHAs from your partner’s graphic organizer.
c. Ask any clarifying questions that may arise as you study your partner’s graphic organizer.

ONLINE:
1. Go to the Module 5 Self-Reflection discussion board and post your graphic organizer for colleagues to read.
2. Read what your colleagues have posted. What commonalities do you see? What differences are evident? Take time to respond to some of your colleagues’ postings.
