About this Project

  • English language learners (ELLs) comprise more than 20 percent of the total population of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). Most classrooms are impacted by the presence of students who are currently enrolled in the English for Speakers for Other Languages (ESOL) program, have recently exited the program, or come from homes where English is not the primary language.
