The 2010 Entrepreneurship Competition is an opportunity for students to participate in an extraordinary learning experience that is exciting, educational, and essential to the emergence of innovative ideas.

NEW CATAGORY!
BUISNESS PLAN POSTER
One or two students will prepare a three-fold poster to be displayed during the competition.  The poster will be a graphic and text explanation of a business plan.  Elements to be included are listed in the scoring rubric.

INTERACTIVE TEAM PRESENTATION
High school teams of student entrepreneurs from Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will showcase their talents, skills ideas, and imagination by presenting portions of an actual business plan.

  • Operations (scoring rubric)
    In this event, MCPS students will compete in a business plan competition.  Student teams will “pitch” their business ideas to local entrepreneurs serving as judges.  Students will have 10 minutes in which to present the highlights of their written business plans and 5 minutes respond to judges' questions.  This will be followed by five minutes of feedback for the team from the panel of judges. This event provides students with a unique opportunity to tie together classroom learning with real world challenges and feedback from experts who have successfully created their own business ventures.
