School-Aged Students

The Bilingual Assessment Team (BAT) provides services to school-aged students who either qualify for ESOL services or have been dismissed from ESOL less than one year prior to a referral to BAT.

School-aged students are referred to BAT by their school's Educational Management Team prior to a referral being made to the screening Individualized Education Program (IEP) Team. The BAT will provide a language dominance determination.

Based on a student's dominant language determination, the BAT may provide appropriate eligibility assessments as requested by the IEP.
