Pre-Kindergarteners Enrolled in Special Education
Students currently enrolled in Montgomery County Public
Schools special education classes who are in need of
updated assessments and who come from a home where a
language other than English is spoken may be referred
to the Bilingual Assessment Team when the local school
team or the student's parents or both feel that the
home language is a significant issue in assessing the
child. Referrals usually are made
through the Division of Preschool Education, Special
Schools, and Related Programs. At present only psychological
services are provided by the Bilingual Assessment Team
to this population on a regular basis.
