Parkland Magnet Middle School for Aerospace Technology offers students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 a rigorous academic program with a focus in advanced and applied mathematics and science. All students take an interdisciplinary science course each year and may choose to take a high-level science elective with the goal of taking a high school science course in Grade 8. Limited seats are available to those who live outside of the MSMC consortium.

Admission to Parkland Magnet School for Aerospace Technology is based on a lottery process. Students who live within the Argyle, Loiederman, and Parkland Consortium area participate in the Choice process through information shared at their local elementary school in Grade 5. For students outside of the consortium area, Choice forms are available at the elementary schools, on the Middle School Magnet Consortium web site or from the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services, 301-649-8081.

MCPS provides transportation from the local Consortium area and from central stops in the Rockville, Walter Johnson and Bethesda-Chevy Chase high school clusters for students in the Argyle MS, Loiederman MS, and Parkland MS magnet programs.
