Thomas Edison High School of Technology (TEHST) is an application-only high school that offers half-day professional career and technology education (CTE) programs to students enrolled in all MCPS high schools. Accepted students attend TEHST for half the school day and attend their co-enrolled comprehensive high school for the remaining half-day in order to complete high school graduation requirements and participate in extracurricular activities. TEHST programs are academically based and incorporate industry competency requirements, employability skill development, college and career planning components, and opportunities for student leadership.

  • Build skills that prepare you for a career or further education
  • Participate in internships and cooperative work experiences
  • Earn college credit through articulation agreements with colleges/universitie

Admission to the half-day career and technology education (CTE) Thomas Edison High School of Technology (TEHST) is by application only. High school students apply through the school counseling office at the student’s comprehensive high school. Interested students should contact their school counselor.
