Testing Information

MCPS students
Students will be tested in their current school in January. Parents will be notified by mail of the test date. Only students who have submitted an application by November 14 will be tested.

Non-MCPS students
Only students who have submitted an application by November 14 will be tested.

Make-up test dates for ALL students
If your child is sick on the test date, please call the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services, 301-592-2040, for the date(s) of the make-up test.

Test Information

High school magnet application testing will take place at Montgomery Blair, Richard Montgomery, and Poolesville High Schools. Test site assignments are based on the student's home high school cluster.

Teacher Recommendation Forms

MCPS Grade 3 Students
The school is responsible for completing the recommendation forms for those students who have applied to the Center Program for the Highly Gifted. Parents do not need to request the forms to be completed.

Non-MCPS Grade 3 Students
Parent must download the recommendation forms below and give them to their current school to complete and return to the Division of Consortia Choice and Application Program Services, 11721 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902
