Underground Railroad Assignments

The following are lessons developed by Montgomery County Public School teachers that use the incorporate the Underground Railroad:

• Directed reading questions for Grade 5 developed by Sharon Mosley-Ramsey, North Chevy Chase Elementary School.

• Multi-media activities for Grade 8 developed by Diane Cioffi, Lee Middle School

• Writing activity for Grade 9 developed by Sue Ketron, Poolesville High School

The following lessons were developed by the Council on Economic Education in Maryland and the Maryland Geographic Alliance:
