Wood, Water and Trash

     Water buckets and a stack of firewood sit handy just outside the pantry door. Each morning before breakfast the older boys carry water from the creek and chop wood.

     The nearby ground is littered with food scraps, chicken bones and broken dishes. When the family has trash they toss it out the nearest door!

Notice the trash to the left of the kitchen door.
