DESCRIPTION: This is a working aquatic farm with 100 ponds. Wild life, turtles, frogs, and a history of the farm are presented in a 20 min. introduction. If planned ahead, a self-guided tour follows. Several adults are required to accompany school groups. The entire area is covered with ponds so students need supervision. This site is most interesting to visit in June or July. Early in the week they see workers in hip boots cultivating and harvesting lily plants.
