DESCRIPTION: Located in suburban Maryland off Bel Pre Road, the trolley exhibit features many types of electric street railway cars dating from the early 1900's. Students will experience the life of a motorman through an interactive hands-on program. A 20 minute ride in the beautiful treed countryside is the highlight of the tour for most children. The exhibit hall tells the story of street railway transportation using models, artifacts, and sound. Children will learn how the electric cars pervaded American society before the advent and popularization of the automobile.
