NOTE: The museum will be closed beginning January 3, 2000 for three years for renovation. Tours can only be scheduled through January 3, 2000.

DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: Program: "Do You See What I See?" A perceptual tour to introduce children to art museums. Can be used by Kindergarten to learn how to create a museum in a social setting. Tour deals with sensory awareness, shapes, textures, lines, and colors. One tour explains the works of African American artists, another deals with Hispanic artists. The "Meet the People" tour focuses on people throughout history. "American Studies" shows the everyday activities of people from 1700s to 1880s.
