DESCRIPTION: The National Building Museum, created by an act of Congress in 1980, is a private, nonprofit institution that examines and interprets American achievements in building through exhibitions and programs. Seven programs are available. Subjects include city planning, patterns, bridge construction, house building, arches and trusses, Fuller's fantastic geodesic dome, and early American architecture.
