DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: There are three self-guiding rooms of exhibits. The "Legacy of the People" exhibit includes artifacts of Native American life with a wigwam and a 1850 pioneer farmstead. Each area includes examples of games, cooking implements, and clothing. The "Legacy of the Land" exhibit allows students to walk through a stream, pond, and cave depicting animals in different habitats. The "Curiosity Corner" is a hands-on exhibit area with discovery boxes, puzzles, microscopes, and live animals. Also available are the raptor aviary; butterfly, herb and hummingbird gardens; Lake Frank; 8 miles of hiking trails through stream valleys, forest, and meadow; and fishing.
