DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION:Students experience colonial history through children's portraits, a Revolutionary soldier's haversack, and models of the Ark and Dove. Domestic life traced in the Hands-On History Center and sights and sounds of Enoch Pratt's 19th century town house. Dioramas illustrate Maryland's growth, emphasizing the contributions of Native Americans and African Americans. Different tours are available depending on age and interest. For more details on school tours, see the Maryland Historial Society Web site. The gift shop contains inexpensive souvenirs. Buses may enter the tour entrance off Park Avenue. Bus instructions and other procedural information is provided to teachers with the tour confirmation. Make your reservatins as early as possible.
