DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: Hard Bargain Farm is an outdoor classroom where children learn about the environment, agriculture, and history. Children participate in a variety of activities ranging from cow milking to studying marsh life. There are several programs available. The naturalist will work with classroom teachers to tailor a program for their needs. The Potomac River Program is most suitable for Grades 4 to 6. It is a one or two day program where students spend the night at Wareham Lodge. Students study ecology in the woods, at a swamp marsh, and by the Potomac River. Book in late August or as soon as possible.
