DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: The Frederick Tour and Carriage Company now manages tours of Frederick City for the Visitors' Center. A guided walking tour of the old town providesan introduction to the historical significance of the area. The touris tailored to the educational level of the children and makes noteof the city's impressive architecture. Notice is taken of the"clustered spires" of the many churches, stories of buildings are told, and students learn of famous Fredericktonians and local houses Tour itineraries can be customized to meet schedule and interest.

Mrs. Williams works closely with other Frederick locations. According to the teacher's requests, she will set up an itinerary of visits to additional sites in Frederick such as Rose Hill Manor, Barbara Fritchie, the Schifferstadt Museums and the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. If you call and reach the answering machine, please leave a message including specific time(s) and phone number to call you back (this can include your home number, she is happy to call in the evening) - or fax your initial information to Ms. Wilms, using the phone number as the fax number. Make your reservations two months ahead of time.
