DESCRIPTION: Students will tour the oldest continuously operating airport in the US built in 1919. See a modern operating airport and maintenance facility for restoring antique planes. Wilber Wright worked and instructed army officers to fly from this location. The museum consists of photographs and artifacts documenting the airport's history.
Students will learn about jobs at the airport, see the runway, hangar, the historic part of the field. In the museum tour, students will see the museum materials and will experience MSPAP activities. For a small additional cost, it is also possible to arrange in advance for the taking of Polaroid pictures of each child as a "pretend pilot."
