DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: This was the home, built in 1812, of Charles Carroll of Carrollton for the last 12 years of his life. Carroll was a Maryland patriot and the last living signer of the Declaration of Independence. The tour is guided by trained staff who contrast the austere first floor office with the decorated family quarters above. Visit the elegant parlor and dining room used for lavish social gatherings. The home is filled with period furnishings. This is part of the Baltimore City Life Museums . Tour of Carroll Mansion is included the following educational programs: "A Nineteenth Century Day," "A Day at the Museum," "Life in the City," and "My Neighborhood, My World."
