DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION:A variety of activities are available at Black Hill Regional Park spanning 1,854 acres with a 505 acre lake. The visitor center offers programs such as natural history education utilizing the lake and natural resources, nature films, conservation workshops, and interpretive exhibits. Walking trails and boat tours are also available. Naturalist presents an informative talk, then, weather permitting, students study the topic in the actual environment. Different program themes are available, such as "Earth Caretakers," "Be a Bay Buddy," and "Recycling." Contact naturalist office for additional programs. Schedule your visit as soon as possible; Teachers may start to call for reservations the last Tuesday in August.
