DESCRIPTION:This museum preserves and documents the history and lives of African American women in America. There is a permanent pictorial exhibition on Mary McLeod Bethune, who lived here 1943-1950. The tour includes various rooms including Miss Bethune"s bedroom. The house is the first headquarters of the National Council of Negro Women. A video presentation is part of the tour.
