DESCRIPTION:There is a 30 min. film about Babe Ruth. Then choose from the following four guided tours, each of which lasts 30 minutes: "Introduction to the Museum," "Clues to the Past," "History of Baseball," or "Math." Contact the Education Director, Carol Warner at extension 3018 to make choices and arrangements. All tours can be tailored to the classroom program. A self-guided tour is also available.
A traveling display will be sent to your Media Center and kept for up to 2 weeks at no cost. The kiosk is about "Aunt" Mary Dobkin who, though on welfare, served her community by forming Little Leagues to keep children off the street. Includes film and teacher's packet with ideas for activities. The museum is 3 blocks from Lexington Market and 1 1/2 blocks from Camden Yards. Schedule your tour two months ahead of time.
