DESCRIPTION:DESCRIPTION: Tour of museum. It houses the largest rail exhibit in the US. Located on the site of the first operating train station and yard in the US, dating to 1830. This was the terminal point of the first telegraph message, "What Hath God Wrought." The museum contains over 140 piece of full-size equipment including the engine from the movie "The Wild Wild West," starring Will Smith. There is a temporary exhibit through summer 2000 called "Miniature Marvels" which displays toy trains and model trains from the l800?s to today. Plenty of Free Parking for cars and buses. Schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance.
