Amish Farmland Grid

Directions

  1. You will paste the colored construction paper squares on the farmland grid according to the map key below:

    Tobacco
    Brown Squares
    		 A1, A2, A3
    Corn fields
    Yellow Squares
    		 D1, D2, D3, D4, E1, E2, E3, E4, F1, F2, F3, F4, A7, A8,B7, B8, C7, C8
    Stream
    Blue Squares
    		 A5, B5, C5, D5, E5, F5
    Pasture
    Green Squares
    		 A4, A6, B4, B6, C4, C6, F6, F7
    Red Clover
    Red Squares
    		 D6, D7, D8, E7, E8
    Orchards
    Orange Squares
    		 E6

  2. Draw and color a barn at B1 and F8.

  3. Draw a vegetable garden at B2 and B3.

  4. Draw a shed at C1 and C2.

  5. Draw a house at C3.

  6. Add a title and a compass rose to the map.

  7. Cut out the map key above. Color the small boxes to match the color words. Tape the map key to your grid map.
