Snack Time

• Make apple sauce - have part of your classroom be a grocery store where the children can buy the "ingredients" for the apple sauce. Use this Apple Sauce Shopping Intellitalk activity for the kids to create the shopping list prior to going shopping.

Writing

• Have kids make shopping lists before entering the dramatic play area which is set up as a store. Here are two Intellitalk Shopping List activities. One is for making a shopping list for a generic toy store. The other one corresponds to the book Sheep in a Shop by Margot Apple.

Reading

• Here is an Intellipics book that follows the pattern of Sheep in a Shop by Margot Apple.
