Draw a picture of a camel on the chalkboard with four humps.. then sing, Sally the Camel erasing one hump for each verse. This is great for problem solving skills figuring out how many are left when we take away one! I don't know where this song is from. But it goes like this:
Sally the Camel has four humps (we bend our knees to pretend that we
are
riding a camel --- it's a bumpy ride!)
Sally the Came has four humps
Sally the Camel has four humps, so
Ride Sally, Ride! Boom, Boom, Boom
(erase one of the humps)
Sally the Camel has three humps
Sally the Camel has three humps
Sally the Camel has three humps,
So Ride, Sally, Ride! Boom, boom, boom.
(erase one of the humps)
Sally the Camel has two humps,
Sally the Camel has two humps,
Sally the Camel has two humps, so
Ride Sally, Ride! Boom, Boom, boom.
(erase one of the humps)
Sally the Camel has one hump,
Sally the Camel has one hump,
Sally the Camel has one hump,
so Ride Sally, Ride! Boom, Boom, Boom.
(erase the last hump)
Sally the Camel has no humps (we don't bend our knees for this verse,
because they ride is not bumpy anymore!)
Sally the Camel has no humps,
Sally the Camel has no humps, so
Sally is a HORSE!
