This is a great unit to work on concepts like: three,
small/medium/large, loud/soft (trip trapping over the bridge), and prepositions
(where is the troll? under/behind/on/across)
I have a counting box that I put different things in
each day. One of the jobs at circle time is "counter." The counter
looks in the box, talks about what is in there, and counts the objects.
For this unit, I put in goats, different sets of three, or sets of small
medium and large objects.
Act out the story with a real bridge. We used our scooterboard ramp
and rested it on cube chairs.
Show your kids some photos of real goats
If you have KidPix on the PC, you can let the kids "bring"
the goats across the bridge with this file
