1. make sure that you have the necessary software. For
example, if you are downloading an Intellipics game for the PC,
make sure you are using a Windows computer that has Intellipics or Intellipics
Player installed.
If you are unsure of all the terminology used on the two computers,
look at this grid that lines up the words you might hear in two camps:
PC and Mac. If you are interested, read the descriptions of
the words. If you are not, just memorize which words go on
which side and you will always know which type of computer people
are talking about.
2. Click on the link to the file that you want.
It's as simple as that. Just single click and wait for
the Save As box to appear.
3. Specify where you want the file to be saved
in the Save As box. After you click on the link, a box
will pop up like this:

You need to specify where the file should be saved on your hard drive.
If you don't know much about folders and file locations, follow these
steps. Otherwise, choose your save location and click OK.
- click on the triangle to the right of the white "save in:"
box
- in the drop down menu, choose "My Documents"
- click on the "create new folder" button
- type "downloads" as the name of your folder and press
ENTER
- double click on the "download" folder you just created
- make sure that the file name is still listed in the "file name"
box - remember this name
- click "save"
4. wait for the file to complete downloading.
You will see a progress box like this:

There will also be an indicator (in this case it is the box that says
"savin...") in your status bar at the bottom of the screen:

5. quit or minimize your web browser and locate
the file you just saved. You can quit your web browser
(File-->Quit)
or simply minimize it by clicking in the minimize box. The
minimize box is the left-most box of the three that are in the
upper right hand corner of the screen.
If you followed the steps above, follow these steps to find your file:
- double click on my computer
- double click on "My Computer"
- double click on the folder called "downloads"
- you will see your file in the window that opens
6. right-click on the file to "unzip" it. When
you right-click on the file, choose "expand" from the pop-up menu. Click
"next" twice to expand the zip file into a folder of its own. Now you
can open that folder and find the uncompressed files within it.
