Maryland State Curriculum Content Standard 2: Students will demonstrate the ability to use drug knowledge, decision-making skills, and health enhancing strategies to address, the non-use, use, and abuse of medications, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

B. Tobacco

Describe the harmful effects of tobacco such as hard to breath, bad breath, stained teeth, cause disease.  
C. Alcohol 
2.1.C.1.  Identify the physical effects of using alcohol.

Distinguish alcohol as a drug.

Identify products containing alcohol.

Recognize that alcohol is unhealthy and illegal for children.
