Thank you to all of the applicants who applied to win the computer lab from the Montgomery County Students Information Technology Foundation (ITF). This year’s selection process was especially difficult, as there was stiff competition between all of the applicants. Every foundation that applied had great passion for their cause and would have benefitted from the lab; however, LIFE stood out from among the crowd. With its hope that the computer lab will help people with disabilities, LIFE will be able to promote self-sufficiency with the utilization of technology to at least 40 individuals each month. LIFE intends to load the computers with software and hardware products that promotes accessibility and aid people in their job search, communication, personal expression, cultural development, and life skills (such as budgeting).
We are looking forward to awarding the computer lab to LIFE at a ceremony on November 16, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Clarksburg High School.
