On Thursday, November 17, 2016, a ceremony was held at Clarksburg High School to recognize the ITF's donation of a computer lab to the Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington. For this donation, students in the Network Operations class at Clarksburg High School refurbished six computers and provided monitors, keyboards, mice, and a printer to the ACSGW. Through this experience, ITF students were able to contribute to the community and provide the tools needed to help other youths acquire IT skills. According to ACSGW director Ken Flemming, this computer lab will be utilized daily by youths aged 17-24. The ACSGW will provide classes in computer repair and Informational Technology skills in order to prepare students to earn their CompTIA certifications. It is the hope of the ACSGW that with these acquired skills and certifications, students will be able to obtain better paying, entry level jobs and will be able to establish careers in the IT field.
