Cultural Arts Showcase Auditions 2008-2009
- June: Orientation meeting (optional), to explain forms required for an audition and the policies and procedures
of the Committee.
- July: Paperwork is submitted for consideration for an audition. MCPS forms to be submitted are: Registration
Form, Teacher’s
Guide, and evidence that this production has been performed before a children’s audience. Deadline is: Friday, July 11, 2008.
- August: If paperwork
is accepted, performers receive notification of acceptance and are scheduled for a September audition date and time. There
are 30 available audition slots each year.
- September Auditions: A 15-minute segment of the production will be performed for the audition
committee. It is suggested that the beginning, middle and ending of the production be presented or a segment that best
shows the qualities of the performer. The 2008 Auditions are scheduled for September 10, September 11, and September 15.
The company and/or individual must submit two (2) copies of the registration
form and two (2 ) copies of the "Teacher's Guide to the Performance"
for each production. All sections must be completed and typed.
