DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: Jamestown and Yorktown Battlefield are the two parts of Colonial National Historic Park. Upon entering the park see a glass blowing demonstration. Drive to the Visitor's Center for a hands-on program, "Jamestown, A Beginning." Teacher is then given a map for a self-guided tour including Jamestown landing site. Colonial National Historic Park is an original site operated by the National Park Service in conjunction with the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. There is a museum in the Visitor's Center. Reservations can be made from September to May; make your reservations as soon as possible.
