DESCRIPTION AND RESOURCES

DESCRIPTION: The Freer Gallery and the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery are the two national museums of Asian art. The Freer Gallery contains a collection of Asian and American art. The American collection focuses on works from the 19th and 20th century and includes the work of James Whistler. Tours focus on introducing children to Asian and 19th and 20th century American art and culture. Book tours 4 weeks in advance.
