Snowballs by Lois Ehlert - These beautiful illustrations will inspire you to create fantastic snowmen with any scap materials you have on hand.

This communication board (zipped Boardmaker file for Windows) can be used with a snowman cookie making activity. The snowman cookies can be bought in a roll, they are the "slice and bake" type. The candy decorations are found in the baking isle. The kids used frosting on cotton swabs to make the candy sprinkles stick to the already baked snowman cookies. We made eyes, nose and mouth,and even counted snowflakes/ flower sprinkles. We read, Who Wants A Cookie? --Theresa Otley
