Kensington Parkwood ES Recognized for Arts Integration Program

Students are able to make connections between the arts, the rest of the curriculum and the lives of people from various cultures.

Music, dance, painting, puppetry, stagecraft—these are just a few of the ways the arts shine at Kensington Parkwood Elementary School. For this outstanding integration of the arts, Principal Barbara Liess and the school will receive the 2009 Exemplary School Award from the Arts Schools Network in October. The award recognizes the school community for its arts achievements, community recognition and involvement, arts integration into the curriculum, and innovation.
