Oakland Terrace ES Teachers Participate in Town Hall Meeting

Last month, three Oakland Terrace Elementary School teachers participated in a national town hall for teachers, a special edition of Education News Parents Can Use, the U.S. Department of Education‘s monthly television program. Teachers Tanya Mason, Diane Thompson and Norma Zamora appeared in the studio audience with 60 other Washington-area teachers and USDE Secretary Arne Duncan, who led a lively discussion about education. The hour-long broadcast covered topics such as recruiting and retaining excellent teachers and improving the No Child Left Behind Act.
