Parents Are Invited to Tour MCPS Transportation, Food Services

Do you ever get questions about how MCPS puts together its school meals for students? Do your parents wonder how the school system can keep more than 1,000 buses moving in the right direction every day? Has anyone at your school ever asked about the programs available at Montgomery College and what they cost? The MCPS Parent Academy has put together three upcoming behind-the-scenes workshops that will offer a window into these operations.

  • Behind the Scenes with MCPS Food and Nutrition Services: Nov. 11, 10–11:30 a.m., Food Services Division Warehouse, 16644 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville. Take a peek at what it takes to create nutritious meals for students. Tour the Central Processing Facility, where large quantities of food are prepared for school breakfasts and lunches.
