Staff Encouraged to Show Generosity Through Charity Campaign

This year, as the 2009 MCPS Charity Campaign gets under way, staff members have an opportunity to help a range of organizations through their contributions. The campaign launched Oct. 26 and will run through Nov. 25. MCPS is striving for 100 percent participation.

The employee unions, along with MCPS, have formed a partnership to provide employees with four organizations through which they can direct their charitable contributions:

  • Montgomery County United Way
  • Union Community Fund
  • Montgomery County Community Foundation
  • Montgomery Alliance

All employees are encouraged to donate to the charities of their choice. Materials about the funds are being distributed in each school and office. For information, call Bonnie Supinski in the Public Information Office at 301-279-3853.
