Durso

President: Michael A. Durso (District 5)

Mr. Durso was elected to his second four-year term on November 4, 2014. He currently serves as the Board's president and as a member of the Board's Committee on Special Populations. He has served more than 44 years in education, including 13 years with Montgomery County Public Schools as principal of Springbrook High School.

Evans

Vice President: Shebra L. Evans (District 4)

Mrs. Evans was elected to her first four-year term on November 8, 2016. She currently serves as vice president and as a member of the Board's Fiscal Management Committee. Mrs. Evans has served in numerous volunteer leadership roles with the Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA), including Vice President of Educational Issues, Vice President of Programs, Recording Secretary-Delegate Assembly, and Wheaton Cluster Coordinator.

Jeanette E. Dixon (At-Large)

Ms. Dixon was elected to her first four-year term on November 8, 2016. She currently serves as the chairperson of the Board's Fiscal Management Committee and as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. In 2013, Ms. Dixon retired from Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) after a 30-year career as a teacher (Social Studies) and principal (White Oak Middle School 1997-2001 and Paint Branch High School 2001-2013).

Judith Docca (District 1)

Dr. Docca was elected to her third four-year term on November 4, 2014. She currently serves as a member of the Board's Policy Management Committee and the Committee on Special Populations.

O'Neill

Patricia O'Neill (District 3)

Mrs. O'Neill was first elected to the Board of Education in 1998 and was elected to her fifth four-year term on November 4, 2014. She has served as the Board's president five times and currently serves as the chairperson of the Board's Policy Management Committee and as a member of the Fiscal Management Committee.

Jill Ortman-Fouse (At-Large)

Ms. Ortman-Fouse was elected to her first four-year term on November 4, 2014. She currently serves as the chairperson of the Board's Strategic Planning Committee and as a member of the Policy Management Committee.

Rebecca Smondrowski (District 2)

Mrs. Smondrowski was elected to her second four-year term on November 8, 2016. She currently serves as the chairperson of the Board's Committee on Special Populations and as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Student Member: Ananya Tadikonda

Ms. Tadikonda, a senior at Richard Montgomery High School, is the 41st student member of the Board of Education. For the past six years, she has held several student government leadership positions.
