WJ is again participating in this important fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. WJ has been the top fundraising high school in the D.C. area for the last six years, raising nearly $115,000. In 2011 WJ raised almost $39,000 for the Society and ranked 3rd nationally! This year's goals are $10,000 online and $40,000 overall.

Pennies for Patients Events

• February 6-March 2 Paw Print Sales, during lunch. Purchase a paw print to represent your class for $1.
• February 6-March 2 T-Shirt Sales, during lunch $10 each. Print the order form here
• February 6-March 2 Wrist Band Sales, during lunch. $5
• Feburary 6 Ledo Pizza Fundraiser, 5:00-9:00 p.m. - 10301 Westlake Dr, Bethesda. Mention WJ when ordering and Pennies for Patients will receive 20% of the proceeds.
• February 6-10 Social Studies Class Competition, Social Studies class that collects the most money will win pizza.
• February 7 Futsal Tournament, 3:00 p.m. - WJ Gym. Sign-up Feb 1-7 for $20 per 3-4 person team during lunch at the kiosk. $1 to watch.
• February 9 Movie Night, 6:30-8:30 p.m. - WJ Cafeteria. Come watch "The Incredibles." Admission is free and concessions will be sold.
• February 10 Freestyle Battle, 2:30 p.m. - WJ Student Commons. Sign-up Feb 6-10 for $3 during lunch at the kiosk.
• February 13 Ninja Tag, in school during the school day. Sign-up Feb 6-10 for $5 during lunch at the kiosk.
• February 16 WJ Glow Shirt Painting Party, 2:30-5:00 p.m. - WJ Cafeteria. $5 includes paint.
• February 17 WJ Glow Dance, 8:00-11:00 p.m. - WJ Gym. Buy $15 tickets during lunch 2/6-2/15 at the kiosk until all are sold.
• February 21-24-Stuck for a Buck, during lunch outside the Main Office. Pay $1 per piece of tape to tape your favorite teachers to a wall.
• February 22 PPP Tournament, 6:00 p.m. - Student Commons & Cafeteria. Sign-ups Feb 14-21 for $9 during lunch at the kiosk.
• February 24 Video Game Tournament, 5:00-9:00 p.m. - Rooms 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111 & 148. Sign-ups Feb 21-24 for $5 per game entry during lunch at the kiosk.
• February 27-March 2 Staff Battle. Staff member who receives the most donations must wear the teletubbies costume.
• February 28 "Family Feud" Game Show, 7:00 p.m. - WJ Auditorium. $3 to attend and $5 per person or $25 per team to compete. Sign-up Feb 20-28 at the kiosk during lunch.
