Dr.
Michael Doran-In
May Wootton students took a total of 2679 A.P. exams in 29 different
subjects totalling 1278 students. However, Wootton offers much
more and they immersed themselves in the incredible music and
drama programs. Our S.T.A.R.S., Humanities and College Institute,
our Internships, the Education and Information Technology Academies,
all serve on a daily basis as testimony to the fact A.P.’s
are only one measure of rigor.
In the past four years there has
been a quiet Renaissance of our sports teams: four years ago
we won two Division titles and zero Regional titles. This year
we won 11 Division titles, 8 Regional titles and one State title.
Now that’s improvement.
I know next year will be
challenging on many levels, but as always it will also be ultimately
satisfying. As I enter my sixth year at Wootton, I continue
to feel blessed and privileged to be at a school with such great
kids and such a professional faculty.

Mr.
Anthony J. Nottingham --Greetings Patriots!!! I am the newest member of the admin team and ecstatic to be here at Wootton. I began my educational journey over 12 years ago as a mathematics teacher at the middle school and high school. Now I am enjoying another element of helping students as an assistant principal. I feel very fortunate that I have found a career that I love and that gives me a sense of accomplishment daily-every day is an exciting opportunity to impact lives. This year I will serve as the administrator for the Class of 2013 and I look forward to working with parents and staff to make sure they have a phenomenal high school experience. I am inspired by the ancient Chinese proverb “ Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand.” I challenge you to become a part of the Patriot express as we continue to motor from good to great this year. |

I have a very enthusiastic group of young men and women who are moving very quickly towards graduation. They are involved in many activities and hold themselves to a very high academic standard. | Dr. Frank Critton -- Hello, I am the Assistant Principal for the 10th grade. My focus is to provide your sons and daughters with the physical and emotional resources to be successful and promoted to the 11th grade - junior status. Many of my students are enrolled in rigorous courses for the first time. My role is to guide them to the multitude of supports – academic and social – that exist at Thomas S. Wootton High School to help them perform and thrive during this sophomore year. Parent collaboration is essential to my success and I welcome open communications. |

Ms.
Renee Negin--Welcome to a very exciting time, the senior year for the class of 2010. I have witnessed tremendous academic and personal growth in these young people and it is my pleasure to be their administrator. As I begin my eighth year at Wootton, it continues to be an honor for me to work with a very committed staff and dedicated parents and see incredible students who never cease to amaze me. I believe that every child can be successful and it is a great experience to be part of a team who share that belief. This year I look forward to seeing “my kids”, the class of 2010, graduate and move on to the next phase of their lives. |
