Mission Statement
The WJHS Latin Honor Society (LHS) is an organization which honors those students who
demonstrate dedication to scholarship in and promotion of the study of the Latin language and
Roman culture. Members of this society display a high degree of academic achievement,
leadership, and integrity in the discipline. Students who receive this honor are active as
scholars, as they further their own understanding of the language, and as tutors, as they
assist their fellow Latin students.
